I had the pleasure of working with Xin Li, a headhunter from Jinhai Qiming Technology Service Co., Ltd., who first contacted me via XXAPP regarding the National Top Talent Program under China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT).

From the very beginning, Xin Li guided me through the process with exceptional professionalism and sincerity. Although I was initially somewhat uncertain about the documentation requirements, especially as a foreigner unfamiliar with Chinese application procedures, Xin Li's clear and structured approach put me at ease. She patiently walked me through each requirement, and I was particularly impressed by her encouragement for me to draft the project proposal independently based on her guidelines. Completing the project plan on my own, under her expert direction, gave me a strong sense of accomplishment and deepened my understanding of the program.

On April 3rd, 2024, Xin Li informed me that I had been successfully matched with XXX Co. Ltd. By June or July, I was thrilled to learn that I had passed the initial shortlisting, with the final results expected in November. When December arrived, Xin Li shared the exciting news that my selection had been officially confirmed.

Throughout the entire process, Xin Li remained concise, responsive, and highly professional. She ensured all steps were clearly communicated, though at times I wished she had been slightly more proactive in explaining certain aspects, given my unfamiliarity with Chinese institutional processes. The confidential nature of the program, while understandable, occasionally added to my anxiety. I think this is one area where things can be improved to make the experience better for future candidates. Nevertheless, Xin Li’s calm and reliable presence was reassuring.

After my official selection, Xin Li actively facilitated negotiations with the company. Although the initial placement did not materialize, she persevered tirelessly on my behalf. Her dedication and resourcefulness eventually led to a new opportunity with another company called XXX, where I was appointed Chief Scientist.

I am deeply grateful to Jinhai Qiming Technology Service Co., Ltd., and especially to Xin Li for her unwavering determination, expertise, and personal touch. Thanks to her support, I am now eagerly anticipating a new and promising chapter in my career and life in China.
